INSPIRED Guinée is an EU-funded project supporting democratic participation and the environment of civil society in Guinea over a three-year period from January 2026 to December 2028.
The project aims to promote a democratic environment by supporting the role of civil society organisations in democratic dialogue, electoral observation and analysis, and the monitoring of public policies. It seeks to enhance the capacity of civil society actors to contribute to inclusive political processes and democratic accountability and to foster dialogue with public authorities.
The project will achieve these objectives by creating a national civil society platform bringing together mapped CSOs to share opportunities and facilitate engagement with public authorities. It will strengthen CSO capacities through trainings and sub-grants for 20 organisations. The project will also expand participatory opportunities by organising monthly regional dialogues across Guinea and quarterly national dialogues, while supporting citizen observation of the legislative and communal elections.
The project is implemented by the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), Ouvrir les Horizons and Maison de la Démocratie et des Droits de l’Homme de Guinée, with the support of ALDA and ARTICLE 19.
