Michael Lidauer

Senior International Advisor | AHEAD Bangladesh

Michael Lidauer is Senior International Advisor with the European Partnership for Democracy. He provides overall coordination for AHEAD Bangladesh, represents the project vis-à-vis the European Union and international partners, and supports the Project Director in the activities of the Electoral Support Facility (ESF). Michael is also co-founder and board member of the EPD member organisation Election-Watch.EU, advocating for civil society engagement and bridging the gap between international and citizen election observers in the follow-up to recommendations. He has worked extensively on election observation, civil society support, and civilian crisis management in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caucasus, and with a particular focus on South and Southeast Asia. Michael continues to work as an international advisor, trainer, and independent evaluator for various organisations and has a track record of academic and policy-relevant publications.
