Call for Tenders: Study on CSO Sustainability and Alternative Revenue Models

The European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) invites consultants, teams of consultants, or organisations to submit proposals to conduct a study on alternative revenue streams and sustainability models for civil society organisations (CSOs) working in the democracy strengthening sector.

Implemented under the Sida-funded SPACE Initiative, this assignment will examine existing practices and emerging approaches to financial and organisational sustainability, with a focus on CSOs operating in ODA-recipient countries, especially those presenting democratic openings. The findings will inform the design of a grant scheme aimed at strengthening CSO resilience and result in a practitioner-oriented publication.

The assignment will include a review of relevant literature and tools, analysis of alternative revenue models, selected consultations with practitioners, and the development of practical recommendations.

The work is expected to take place between June and August 2026, with a maximum budget of EUR 10,000.
