Since the Tunisian Revolution in 2011, the country has progressively opened up the political and civic space, allowing for democratic competition, accountability and civic participation. EPD started working in Tunisia immediately following revolution and ended up opening an office in 2013. EPD Tunisia managed the PASC (Programme d’Appui à la Société Civile) from 2013-2017 which supported both civil society organisations and national authorities through dialogue processes and capacity-building activities. EPD continues to work on various issues that are of vital importance to democratic governance in Tunisia, further details of which can be found below.
