INVITATION

Tuesday, 18 September 2018, 10:00 – 17:00

European Parliament in Brussels | Altiero Spinelli Building | Room 5G3

Come join us to celebrate our annual event commemorating the International Day of Democracy, which will take place on Tuesday, 18 September 2018 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

This year we will focus on EU leadership for democracy, its internal and external dimensions, as well as the challenges facing democracies today.  The morning sessions will be followed by workshops that among other topics cover leadership in relation to technological innovation and its impact on democracy, advancing democracy through female leadership, and engagement for democracy.

We hope that you will be able to take part in the discussions and we would highly appreciate if you could confirm your attendance by registering through the following link: Registration Form by 6 September 2018, at noon (Brussels time).

The draft programme will follow in due course. For any question, please contact: [email protected]

Thank you for saving the date in your agenda, and we look forward to welcoming you on this occasion!

The conference is hosted by the European Parliament and is co-organised by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED), the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP), the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) and the Office of International IDEA to the European Union, in cooperation with the European Commission and the European External Action Service.
