EPD is pleased to announce that the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) has joined the Community of Practice.

The Westminster Foundation for Democracy is the UK’s leading democracy-strengthening organisation. Operating closely with, but remaining independent of, the British government, the WFD brings together parliamentary and political party expertise to foster inclusive governance, accountability, representation and citizen participation in developing countries and countries transitioning democracy.

WFD’s main goal is to assist the development of inclusive democracies by working with overseas parliaments, political parties and civil society. Therefore, WFD works with countries undergoing a transition to democracy by providing expertise in developing parliaments, political parties structures and civil society organisations – the vital institutions of a functioning democracy.
