The European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) will be held on 12-13 May in Paris, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This year’s General Assembly will elect the new board that will guide ALDA’s activities for the next four years. On this occasion, with the support of the French Foreign Affairs Ministry and other partners, ALDA invites you to attend the events that are organised within the framework of the Assembly.

On Thursday 12 May, two public events will take place:

  • “Capitalisation of the European Year for Development: the added value of Decentralised Cooperation to promote local governance”
  • “Launch of the Programme France Balkans”

On Friday 13 May, together with UNDP and AFFCRE, ALDA is organising the Toolkit Day, comprised of two parallel workshops:

  • “Development Education – How should we valorise solidarity external actions of local authorities and associations amongst citizens?”
  • “Localizing SDGs”

The agenda of public events is available here and you can find the registration form here.

For more information about the events, you can visit ALDA’s website.
