FRIDE and the Egmont Institute are organising a conference on ‘Development and the EU Strategic Partnerships’. This will be held on 11 December at Martin’s Hotel, Boulevard Charlemagne 80, Brussels.

This event will bring together senior policy makers, researchers and civil society representatives to discuss how the EU can best engage with its strategic partners in the area of development. Findings from a recent research project that examined the EU’s engagement on development with Brazil, China, India, South Africa and Republic of Korea will also be presented.

Senior officials from the European institutions will share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of engagement with emerging powers on development issues.

This project is kindly supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland as part of the European Strategic Partnerships Observatory (ESPO), a joint initiative of FRIDE and the Egmont Institute.
