About INSPIRED

INSPIRED is a multi-partner multi-country programme funded by the European Union under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).

The programme is implemented by a consortium of seven organisations: European Partnership for Democracy (EPD, lead partner), Club de Madrid (CdM), Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD), The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Ghana, East Europe Foundation (EEF), Moldova, Centre des Etudes Méditerranéennes et Internationales (CEMI), Tunisia, and Institute of Constitutional Policy (ICP), Kyrgyzstan.

In Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Tunisia, INSPIRED promotes a culture of dialogue and trust by facilitating exchanges and cooperation between key national stakeholders on a collectively identified policy issue. In its second phase, INSPIRED will produce a handbook for practitioners on promoting inclusive policy dialogue in contexts of democratic transition, based on experiences from the aforementioned country projects as well as similar initiatives from around the world.

Participants and focus of the event

Participants in the event will include INSPIRED project managers from Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Tunisia as well as representatives from the Club de Madrid and the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy, representatives from the EC and EEAS and representatives from other international organisations and NGOs with an interest in policy dialogue.

The presentation and subsequent discussions will focus on the four policy dialogue processes that have been implemented in Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Tunisia.
