As part of the PACTE-Madagascar project, ECES published this report on media coverage of the Malagasy presidential elections. The report analyses 16 national newspapers, eight radio stations and five television channels to create a detailed picture of the media environment during the months preceding the presidential elections. The objective of the unit is to analyse the electoral process in order to ensure that each candidate has equal access to media and to control incendiary commentaries.
