AWEPA has embarked on the implementation of a new programme to strengthen the capacity of ten (10) Local Councils of Central and Western Equatoria States as well as the National Legislative Assembly. The programme seeks to strengthen the capacity of councillors and Members of Parliament, particularly women, through training, study visits and outreach activities.

This gender module is developed to support gender training for local councils of the Republic of South Sudan. The purpose of the training is to facilitate a thorough understanding and discussions on the role of Local Councils in promoting and taking appropriate action on gender matters in the Republic of South Sudan.
