EPD is organising a roundtable to present INSPIRED, an EU-funded programme that is designed to support inclusive national dialogue processes on key policy issues in Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Morocco and Tunisia.

This innovative initiative combines the knowledge and capacities of five local partner organisations with the knowledge and capacities of European organisations that have a long track record of supporting political dialogue and strengthening leadership capacities of key policy stakeholders, i.e. the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) and the Club de Madrid (CdM).

INSPIRED is implemented by a consortium of eight partner organisations under the leadership of the European Partnership for Democracy: Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (The Netherlands), Club de Madrid (Spain), Centre des Etudes Méditerranéennes et Internationales (Tunisia), Organisation Marocaine des Droits Humains (Morocco), East Europe Foundation (Moldova), Center for Social Integration Policy (Kyrgyzstan), The Institute of Economic Affairs (Ghana).

The roundtable will gather the Directors of the Partner Organisations of INSPIRED, EU officials, Members of the European Parliament, representatives of NGOs and think tanks working on democracy assistance, and the interested public. The aim is to present the main characteristics and objectives of the project and to collect feedback from the participants.

Discussions will be moderated by Hans Bruning, Executive Director of the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy; Chair of the EPD Board of Directors.
